Powered by twin new tier 3 clean caterpillar c7.1 500 horsepower diesel inboards, The Rascal's cruising speed is about 22 knots, while trolling is usually done at about 8-9 knots.
We target four types of game fish here in Maui: Marlin (including Pacific Blue, striped and spearfish/shortbilled marlin), Ahi (yellowfin tuna), Ono (wahoo), and Mahi Mahi (dolphin fish). These can range in size from a small, 8 pound juvenile mahi mahi to an 800 lb. blue marlin.... or maybe bigger! Occasionally, we pick up various species of Snapper, Jacks, and other incidental catches.
For those wanting a little time out of the sun, portions of the back deck are shaded, and our main cabin is air-conditioned and carpeted, with a full galley, comfortable seating and entertainment center.

This boat offers private charters. You will be the only group on the boat and can ask the Captain to take you to certain locations. On a private charter if you want to bring the boat in early, you can do this. There are many advantages to booking the boat to yourselves.
