Captain Fay began his Hawaii charter fishing career in Kona crewing for Terry Truman aboard the Kua Lua in 1966. Shortly thereafter he moved to the Malia where he crewed for West Vannetta. In 1975, he partnered with Captain Peter B. Wright and purchased the Humdinger, a 37′ Rybovich located in Tampa, Florida. After moving the boat from Florida, Jeff and Peter chartered the Humdinger out of Kona until the mid 1980′s when Jeff bought out partner Peter B. Wright and then briefly partnered with globetrotting big game angler Jerry Dunaway. Shortly thereafter, Jeff purchased Jerry’s remaining interest in the Humdinger and has been operating this classic Rybovich from Kona Hawaii ever since.
Captain Jeff Fay has been fishing in Kona, Hawaii for giant blue marlin for over 40 years. In addition to his numerous decades of knowledge and experience he has collected in Kona, Captain Jeff Fay has operated several sportfishing charter boats for owners the world over.

Captain Steve Epstein grew up Surfing, Sailing and Fishing in Southern California.
After graduating from San Diego State University, He spent several years working at Kettenburg Marine, repairing and rebuilding Yachts before heading off to French Polynesia aboard his own 36′ Sloop for 1 year; Finally landing in Kona to settle down with his family.
Steve went on to work as a Commercial Fisherman aboard a 650 ton Tuna Seiner; from Mexico to Panama, he set his own permanent path of charter fishing.
In 1980 he met up with Marlin Parker on the “Islander” Steve and Marlin with the help of their new owner, purchased the “Marlin Magic” on which they won countless tournaments and caught the famous 1400 lb Blue Marlin in 1990.
Travelling the world in search of the largest Marlin lead Steve to the great Barrier Reef in Australia for 3 seasons and as far away as Madeira....

Two friends of Hawaii Deep Sea Fishing were winners at this years 2014 Ahi Fever Tournament off the coast of Waianae Oahu.
Saturday June 14th and Sunday June 15th, was the date of the the Ahi Fever Fishing Tournament which is scheduled to coincide with the beginning of the annual run of yellowfin tuna that show up during the summer months in large numbers off Oahu's leeward coast.

What makes them unique for the 4 hour shared charter trip that they offer, is that they will commit to a share charter trip with a minimum of two clients: Most Kauai fishing charters require at least a four person minimum for a share charter to commence, so booking the Shared charters on Happy Hunter through Hawaii Deep Sea fishing will be much easier to book and confirm.
